Europe was a side trip added in following the time in Bahrain. Contacts made in Hong Kong and Pakistan provided the needed infrastructure.

The first flight took us on the newly developed EasyJet from Luton through to Basel. The kindness of Janette's friend Margaret Gilbert made this all possible. Graciously she picked us up at Gatwick, returning us there later to fly to Canada then in between we left from Luton and returned from Stanstead.

Stephen and Astrid De Garis were living in Hong Kong when we were there. Stephen, a doctor linked with the pharmaceutical company Roche with HQ in Basle.
