Coljan Enterprises is not sponsored by any group, we do not have Church
support nor do we solicit funds on a 'faith basis' from a list of interested friends. Our resources are based on pension
payments and investment dividends. We are thankful to be able to maintain our own independence in this way.
These resources enable us to make a limited contribution toward our own expenses. We are open to
discussion on what we can do to provide our own expenses. In certain situations we may not be able to meet the full demands
and so would require some help. Usually this has meant such things as providing local accommodation and in the teaching
situations living in student hostels and eating food provided for students.
Teaching Situations:
We have been able to find air fares to reach destinations. In the interests of stewardship and
maintaining dignity at both ends we believe that the receiving institution should provide accommodation and food for the
period of teaching. Some institutions prefer to offer a payment for teaching the course that they would give to a local
person. We may not need the money and it may be linked to a local living standard but we are happy to accept and so preserve
the dynamic.
International Churches
Often it is not possible for us to find the resources to meet local rents as we maintain a home in
Canada. Accommodation would need to be provided. Local expenses for transportation and entertaining linked to the ministry
as well as an allowance to meet local living expenses may be needed. This is all open to negotiation based on the local
situation, the type of ministry offered and our own realities.
Consulting
If this requires visiting places or countries that are off regular routes leading to higher airfares
then some assistance may be required.
